Science Teacher - Secondary (Earth and Space Science)

The West Seneca Central School District has an anticipated vacancy for a Science Teacher at West Senior High School.

The position is a full-time, probationary appointment for an individual who is certified to teach Earth Science/Earth and Space Science.  The assignment will also include General Chemistry and Forensics.

Salary and benefits (health & dental) are paid according to the West Seneca Teachers' Association's collective bargaining agreement and are commensurate with experience.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate planning and preparation, instructional skills, effective classroom management, and be motivated to engage in continuous professional development.

Music Teacher - Part-Time - Vocal/General Music

Certificated Vacancy

The West Seneca Central School District has a vacancy for a part-time, temporary Music teacher at West Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year.  The ideal candidate will provide vocal music instruction to students at the elementary school grade levels.  Work days may be scheduled for half and/or full days.  The successful candidate will be offered work as a preferred building substitute when not assigned to teaching Music classes. 

Experience and Skills Preferred:

  • Knowledge of teaching music in a differentiated format.
  • Experience with a variety of classroom management skills and behavior intervention programs.
  • Knowledge of program modifications, testing accommodations and supplementary aides.
  • Strong computer and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with other members of the department.
  • Ability to demonstrate and perform with proper vocal technique.
  • Choral conducting experience with piano background preferred.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate planning and preparation, instructional skills, effective classroom management and be motivated to engage in continuous professional development.

A music teacher is responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment and to assist every student in reaching his/her potential.
