Job Description

The West Seneca Central School District is currently seeking a Provisional Assistant Supervisor of Transportation.  

Approximate Hours 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

• Assist in supervision and coordination of overall operations.
• Work in part with safety and compliance management team.
• Support effective and efficient logistics and route planning.
• Compassionate and timely communication to stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from High School or possession of a High School Equivalency diploma either:

1.  Two (2) years of satisfactory experience in the operation of large vehicles designed to transport passengers or those with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) over 26,000 pounds also requiring a CDL, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervising or administrative capacity; or
2.  Two (2) years of satisfactory experience in the maintenance and repair of automobiles, trucks or buses, one (1) year of which must have been in supervising or administrative capacity; or
3.  An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of a) and b).

 

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Possession and maintenance of a New York State Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) appropriate for Class of vehicle operated throughout duration of appointment OR

Possession of a New York State Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements at time of appointment and maintenance throughout duration of appointment.
