Job Description

The West Seneca Central School District currently has a vacancy for a long-term substitute in the Education of Children with Handicapping Conditions (General Special Education) tenure area.  This will be a full-time, temporary appointment beginning immediately through the end of the 2025-2026 school year for an individual who is certified to teach Special Education at the elementary level. The selected candidate will receive a teacher's salary and benefits prorated to the appointment timeframe.  The assignment is 6-1+3 classroom setting, Gr. K-5. The candidate must be able to demonstrate: planning and preparation; instructional skills; effective classroom management; and be motivated to engage in continuous professional learning.   Salary and benefits are paid according to the West Seneca Teachers' Association's collective bargaining agreement. The candidate will report to the building Principal and the Director of Special Education.

Job Qualifications

Certification Type	Special Education K-12 Students with Disabilities B-2 Students with Disabilities 1-6 Literacy B-6 (preferred, not required)

 

Specialized Training	Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Early Literacy Working With Children At Risk Youth
