Job Description

The West Seneca Central School District has anticipated vacancies in the Elementary tenure area for grade level settings.  The positions are full-time, probationary appointments beginning with the upcoming school year for individuals who are certified to teach at the elementary school level.  

Required Certification(s): 

• Early Childhood Education B-2 and,

• Childhood/Elementary Education 1-6     

Preferred Certification(s):

• Literacy and/or Special Education

Salary and benefits are paid according to the West Seneca Teachers' Association collective bargaining agreement.

Job Qualifications

   Experience and Skills Preferred:

• Knowledge of state standards across all curricular areas
• Experience providing targeted, differentiated classroom instruction
• Knowledge of Readers and Writers Workshop
• Experience using formative and summative assessments to inform instructional decision-making
• Skilled at working with diverse student populations
• Ability to collaborate and work with teachers
• Positive, effective classroom management skills/strategies
• Experience using technology to enhance instructional practices
