Job Description

The West Seneca Central School District is seeking a Registered Nurse at Clinton Elementary — Come join our team!  

10 month position Monday - Friday 

Approximate Hours: 8:50 am-4:05 pm

 

*Salary is commensurate with experience

Job Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification
• Experience in pediatric and school nursing preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff
• The nurse may be assigned to do UPK screenings.
• The nurse will be assigned to complete UPK registration paperwork, immunization compliance, state mandated reporting as well as various other health office related duties. 
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments in compliance with physician orders and district policies.
• Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) for   students with medical needs in consultation with Nurse Coordinator and administration
• Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.) and refer as needed
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure immunization compliance
• Collaborate with parents, healthcare providers, and school staff to support student health needs
• Promote health and wellness through education and outreach
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as needed
