The West Seneca Central School District is seeking a full-time Music teacher to provide instrumental (band), small group lesson instruction for students at both the elementary and secondary levels. This traveling position is also responsible for teaching our high school music history course.
This is a probationary appointment with salary and benefits paid according to the West Seneca Teachers' Association's collective bargaining agreement and commensurate with experience. The candidate must be able to demonstrate planning and preparation, instructional skills, effective classroom management and be motivated to engage in continuous professional learning.
A music teacher is responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment and for assisting every student in reaching his/her potential. Teachers are responsible for the planning and preparation of their lessons; providing a safe classroom environment; leading effective instruction and participating in long-range planning which includes their own professional development.
