Music Teacher (Instrumental) - Band

The West Seneca Central School District is seeking a full-time Music teacher to provide Instrumental (Band) instruction for students at the secondary levels.  This position is also responsible for a "Music in our Lives" adaptive, general music class for select 6:1:1 and 12:1:1 classes.  This position may include traveling to another building to support instrumental lessons and the assignment is subject to change in the future. 

This is a probationary appointment with salary and benefits paid according to the West Seneca Teachers' Association's collective bargaining agreement.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate planning and preparation, instructional skills, effective classroom management and be motivated to engage in continuous professional learning.

A music teacher is responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment and for assisting every student in reaching his/her potential.  Teachers are responsible for the planning and preparation of their lessons; providing a safe classroom environment; leading effective instruction and participating in long-range planning which includes their own professional development.
