Certificated Vacancy

The West Seneca Central School District is seeking a full-time Music teacher to provide classroom Music instruction for students at the Elementary grade levels, currently Pre-K to Grade 5.  This position is a probationary appointment with salary and benefits paid according to the West Seneca Teachers' Association collective bargaining agreement and commensurate with experience.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate planning and preparation, instructional skills, effective classroom management and be motivated to engage in continuous professional development.

A music teacher is responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment and assisting every student in reaching his/her potential.  Teachers are responsible for planning and preparation of their lessons; providing a safe classroom environment; leading effective instruction and participating in long-range planning which includes their own professional development.
